In the spirit of holiday horror films and year-end “best” lists, Fear Fashion has compiled a special yuletide list counting down 7 days of favorite Christmas party looks, horror style, one day at a time.
Day 7: Ivory cocktail dress, P2

Workaholic business executive Angela is drugged and kidnapped from within the parking structure of her office building as she is headed to her family’s holiday party. She wakes up to an entirely different party, not dressed in her work clothes, and ankle-cuffed to a table. Angela is face to face with her kidnapper Thomas, the building’s attractive yet unhinged security guard, who has taken the liberty of dressing her for an intimate Christmas Eve dinner for two while unconscious.
Her dinner attire is an ivory white backless halter neck moment in silk georgette, which later turns into a dingy, dirty, bloody mess. It’s a stand-out piece for one obvious reason; it showcases Angela’s impressive cleavage. Designed by Ruth Secord, the dress takes after Marilyn Monroe’s famous white frock from “The Seven Year Itch” with a much wider reveal of decolletage that seems to remain firmly in place, against all odds. As Angela battles her way through the rest of the film, it acts as a sort of super-dress from which her bosoms never escape. The fact that it doesn’t rip it to shreds by the end of the movie could be considered a Christmas miracle.

Thomas going through her suitcase and selecting this garment for their twisted dinner date is no surprise. Where was she going to wear this during her family vacation though? As pretty as it is, that plunging neckline would seem to break any family gathering dress code.
