Shriekfest Film Festival‘s 21st opening night gala drew a spirited crowd of horror-sci-fi-thriller-fantasy lovers who, after a year of lockdowns, social distancing & quarantines, were ready for some post-pandemic partying. Scare makers and horror fans brought their best fashion game to the red carpet, flaunting looks that ranged from trendy to classic, laid-back to wild. We saw deep necklines, velvet textures, leathers, prints, hats, and spooky accessories. Fabulous fashion moments were made by dopamine dressers in bright colors and enthusiasts showing off their horror tees. The usual assortment of all-black ensembles was present while other partiers opted for red & black outfits inspired by Shriekfest’s signature colors.

The Look: White Shirtdress, White boots. Fear Fashion: Her all-white look rocks! Denise Gossett: A nice mix of casual, but dressy. Love the boots! He looks handsome and dressed up casually.

The Look: Black and White Chiffon Dress. FF: A soft & feminine look. The white trim gives the dress a pretty effect. DG: She’s adorable and the dress fits her personality.

The Look: Grey Fedora, Navy Shirt & Pants, White Shoes. FF: I like everything about this look, especially his sassy pose! DG: He looks dapper! I love the hat.

The Look: Pink Ruffle Skirt Dress. FF: I’m obsessing over the dress’s gorgeous shade of pink. I like how the wide sleeves give the dress a caplet silhouette. DG: Love this color on her! It looks amazing!

The Look: Black Asymmetrical Zip Sweater & Pants, Red Athletic Shoes. FF: Stylish and comfy! The ribbed cowl neck makes the sweater look extra cozy. DG: Nice casual look with a pop of color in his shoes. Fits in perfectly with the backdrop.

The Look: Brown Suede Shacket, B&W Graphic Tshirt, Black Pants & Boots. FF: His whole look is an 80’s mood. DG: Love his hair and boots, he makes laid-back look great!

The Look: Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket, Black Dress & Boots. FF: A classic combination of black moto jacket & dress – casual and seriously chic! DG: Love this look! She looks great!

The Looks: Multi-Colored Striped Mini Dress & White Boots. Dark Blue Dress. FF: I can appreciate the 60’s vibe of the striped dress/patent boots pairing. I’m also digging the sheer sleeves and tiered maxi skirt on the blue dress. DG: All 3 look great! All different styles, but they still work together.

She has a black jacket to his black pants, his blue shirt to her blue jeans. I know this wasn’t planned, but, it looks quite cute.
